God-forbid or forbid god

a friend and me got into this argument(i thrive on them) about visiting temples and other places of worship. as usual both didnt budge. he stuck to his logic and asked questions... the why types. must say they were all logical and practical questions(how i hate them)...the devil continued harassing me.
"why did u visit shirdi or siddhivinayak or mount mary?" i said becoz i love it. love being in the peaceful environs(he shrieked). siddhivinayak and shirdi peaceful??!! now u know ... foot-in-the-mouth. i had to eat my words. the devil grinned... obviously from ear-to-ear.
i am a believer in existence of a supreme power governing the world... i also believe in his omnipresence... am i contradicting myself?...talking about omnipresence in the same breath as about visiting temples.
u know i had to kiss defeat again with this exchange of words.
next...
being a nature-lover. i feel nature is a religion, an ism in itself. teaches the best of things. that which gives me joy when i am sad, raises my spirits,etc...
so the next argument was that if i believe this then why go to a religious place.
clean bowled.

to be continued...

I am a guy who believes in the almighty and his supremem power but since sometime have stopped believing in SADHUS and BABAS.. they don't seem logical to me now.. but still I find a lot of peace in temples.. maybe the faith in all of us brings calmness in those 4 walls..

hey sheetal...
its not denial in power of god... rather it talks about how we want a tangible and knowable god and how we limit him/her (again limiting)!!!
the argument is that.
keep visiting.

Now a days v really dont find peace and calm in worship places as they r turning really crouded and too much politically and commertial too! Yes God is supreme but worship him intremally is also ok! Sit peacefully anywhere in the world and recollet the supreeeme and his blessing are with u. What is GOd? its just a governing force internally to us. If v think God is seeming us at least v wont do BAD only faith what is matters right ??
